The bumber sticker reads, "Don't agree with abortion? Don't have one." The implication is that since you have a personal choice, it doesn't not have to be illegal. Let's test the logic with an analogous argument.
What issue matters to you? Let's use dumping toxic waste into our streams and rivers.
Now how would you respond? "Don't agree wtih dumping toxic waste? Don't do it."
As it turns out, it doesn't make sense to make the statement on this sticker. My opponent may think that the analogy breaks down. One might say, "Abortion doesn't hurt anyone, it only effects the patient. Dumping toxic waste, however, is different because it hurts others."
Now you've got your finger on the pulse. The issue is whether abortion hurts anyone else besides the patient. Well...the answer is yes. Abortion does hurt others. Abortion stops a beating human heart.
Abortions aren't piercings. "Don't agree with body piercing. Don't do it." Although it will leave a scar for life.
